OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Wellbore pressure is transmitted through an insulating metal bellows to a volume of silicone oil surrounding the quartz pressure crystal. Changes in hydrostatic pressure alter the resonance frequency. A second crystal, not subjected to external pressure, provides temperature compensation and allows for precision, high-resolution pressure calculations.
APPLICATIONS
Transient analysis of extraction and accumulation pressure.
– Measurement of the pressure gradient at the bottom of the well. INTERFACTION AND TOOL COMBINATIONS Mbus, SRO (Surface Read) or Ultrawire™ Mbus QPS direct interfaces to MPL, XMW and XSH telemetry tools Can be used for memory logging or SRO.
